Clothing
Poor People
Farmers and peasants wore clothes made of hemp that was a rough material. They didn't wear any gowns since they worked all day and their clothes would get dirty. They couldn't afford silky made clothes either since they were so expensive and for wealthy women. General clothes were loose pants and a shirt.
Wealthy People
Upper-class and wealthy people would wear clothes made of silk. The silk was made from silkworms and cocoons, this material is so soft and light as a feather. Silk garments were generally long robes that touched the ground. They came in all different colours and patterns. The only colour that people weren't allowed to wear was yellow/ gold. Only an emperor could wear yellow. The looser the clothing as meant the wealthier you were. So the looser the clothing the wealthier you were.
